Hieline Medical offers manual wheelchair rentals for short-term and extended use throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Whether you need a wheelchair for post-surgery recovery, travel, or an extended period of limited mobility, we carry the right model for the user’s size, weight, and daily activity level.

Three Categories, Six Seat Widths

Call us with the user’s height, weight, and intended use and we will recommend the right size. We rent three categories of manual wheelchairs: Pediatric (12″ or 14″ seat width, up to 150 lbs), Standard (16″ or 18″ seat width, up to 250 lbs; 16″ for petite adults, 18″ for standard adult sizing), and Heavy Duty (22″ or 24″ seat width, reinforced frame up to 400 lbs). Elevated leg rests and pressure relief cushions are available as add-ons depending on inventory.

Getting It to You

Delivery

We deliver wheelchairs throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Most orders are delivered next day. Same-day rush delivery is $75 when our schedule allows.

Delivery & pickup fees:

$45 within 15 miles of our Plano store
+$20 for each additional 10 miles beyond 15 miles
Pickup at end of rental is charged at the same rate
Both delivery and pickup fees are charged upfront at the time of rental

Self-Pickup Option

Manual wheelchairs can be self-picked up from our Plano location at 720 F Ave Ste 101. Call ahead to confirm inventory and pickup hours.

Pickup at End of Rental

When your rental period is complete, call 214-227-2222 to schedule pickup. Please give us at least 72 hours notice so we can schedule retrieval. We do not schedule pickups on the due date itself. If pickup isn’t scheduled before your renewal date, the next rental period will automatically be charged.

Common Questions

Can I extend my wheelchair rental?

Yes. If you keep the equipment past your due date, the rental automatically renews at the same rental period: weekly rentals renew weekly, monthly rentals renew monthly. To stop billing, return the equipment to our store before the due date, or for delivered orders, call at least 72 hours before your due date to schedule pickup.

Do I need a prescription to rent a wheelchair?

No prescription is required. We do not bill Medicare or insurance directly. All rental payments are made directly to Hieline Medical, upfront when you reserve.

What sizes are available?

We rent three categories of manual wheelchairs across six seat widths: Pediatric (12″ or 14″, up to 150 lbs), Standard (16″ or 18″, up to 250 lbs), and Heavy Duty (22″ or 24″, up to 400 lbs). Call to confirm what we have available for your rental dates.

Can I buy the wheelchair instead of renting?

Yes. Call us and we can discuss applying a portion of your rental payments toward a purchase. New wheelchair pricing starts from $185.

What if the wheelchair is damaged?

Normal wear and tear is expected and covered. Damage beyond normal use, lost equipment, or stolen equipment will be charged to your card on file at repair or full replacement cost. A $35 cleaning fee applies if the equipment is returned dirty. Inspect the chair when you receive it and report any concerns immediately.

How much notice do I need for pickup?

We ask for at least 72 hours notice so we can schedule pickup. Call 214-227-2222 to schedule. If pickup is not scheduled before your renewal date, you will be charged for the next rental period.

What is your cancellation policy?

A 15% cancellation fee applies once an order has been processed. Cancellations on the day of delivery are not refundable. No refunds are issued for early returns or once equipment has been delivered or picked up.

Rental Policies

Rental Terms & Conditions

Minimum Rental Period: One week (7 days). Rentals begin on the delivery or pickup date.
Payment: Payment is due at the time of rental or reservation.
Billing & Renewal: Rentals continue until the equipment is returned. If equipment is not returned by the rental end date, the rental will automatically renew at the same rental period (weekly rentals renew weekly; monthly rentals renew monthly), billed to the card on file.
Returns: Self-return: Return on or before due date to our Plano store. Delivered equipment: Call at least 72 hours before your due date to schedule pickup. We do not schedule pickups on the due date itself. If pickup is not scheduled in time, the next rental period will be charged.
Equipment Pickup: Customers who had the equipment delivered must call at least 72 hours in advance to schedule end-of-rental pickup. Customers who self-picked up may return to our Plano store during business hours.
Equipment Condition: All equipment is inspected and sanitized before each rental. Inspect upon delivery and report any concerns immediately.
Damage, Loss & Theft: The renter is responsible for the equipment throughout the rental period. Damage beyond normal wear and tear, including concealed damage discovered after return, will be charged to the card on file at repair cost. Lost or stolen equipment will be charged at full replacement cost.
Delivery Fees: $45 within 15 miles of our Plano store, plus $20 for each additional 10 miles. Pickup is charged at the same rate. Both fees are charged upfront at the time of rental.
Cancellation Fee: A 15% cancellation fee applies once an order has been processed. Cancellations on the day of delivery are not refundable.
No Refunds: No refunds are issued for early returns or once equipment has been delivered or picked up.
