Battery Chargers

The right charger, matched for you.

Replacement chargers for mobility scooters, power chairs, and other powered equipment. Voltage, amperage, and connector type verified against your battery before any order goes through.

Signs your charger is failing

The charger usually fails before the battery does.

Charger failures often look like battery problems at first. If you’re seeing any of these, the charger is the more likely culprit.

No LED lights

Charger plugged in and powered on, but no indicator lights at all.

Won’t switch from red to green

The indicator stays on the charging color and never shows fully charged.

Inconsistent charging

Sometimes charges, sometimes doesn’t. Works one day, dead the next.

Excessive overheating

Charger feels hot to the touch within minutes. Not just warm, uncomfortably hot.

Burning smell

Any plastic, electrical, or scorched smell. Unplug it immediately and call us.

Broken or frayed cables

Visible damage to the cord, connectors, or insulation. Safety risk, replace right away.

Charge never completes

Battery never reaches full, no matter how long it’s plugged in.

Most chargers last 3 to 5 years with regular use. Failures often look like battery problems at first.

How chargers are matched

It’s about the battery, not the equipment.

A charger has to match the battery it’s charging, not the brand of scooter or chair it lives in. Four things determine the right charger. We verify each one before you order.

  1. Battery chemistry

SLA, gel, and lithium each need a charger built for them. An SLA charger on a lithium battery is a fire risk.

  2. Voltage

Mobility SLA chargers are typically 24V output (two 12V batteries in series). Lithium chargers vary by pack design.

  3. Amperage (output)

Output current ranges from 1.5A to 8A, matched to the battery pack’s Ah rating. Too high damages the battery.

  4. Connector type

XLR, 3-pin, or proprietary OEM plug. The wrong plug won’t connect, and adapters create their own risks.

Don’t try to figure this out alone. Call us with what the label on your existing charger says. We’ll identify everything we need and confirm a compatible replacement before any order is placed.

Safety first

Wrong amperage shortens your battery’s life.

Too much current on an SLA battery generates extreme heat and gas. The plates warp, capacity drops, and the battery can fail permanently. A mismatched charger on a lithium battery is a fire risk. Call us before you order. We confirm voltage, amperage, chemistry, and connector compatibility, no charge.
