A geri chair is a wheeled medical recliner with three positions for sitting, resting, and napping. It supports up to 250 lbs, has pressure cushioning, locking safety wheels, and a removable tray that locks in five positions. Designed for home or healthcare use.
Delivery is recommended due to size and weight. We deliver throughout Dallas-Fort Worth and most rentals are ready next day. Same-day rush delivery is $75 when our schedule allows. Call to confirm availability and schedule your delivery.

Do I need a prescription?
No, you can rent directly without a doctor’s order.
What is a geri chair?
A geri chair (geriatric chair) is a wheeled medical recliner designed for extended sitting and resting. It has manual recline positions, pressure-relieving cushioning, locking wheels for safety, and a removable tray. Common in nursing homes, hospitals, and home care for users who spend long periods sitting.
How is this different from a regular recliner?
A geri chair is built for medical and care use. It has wheels for moving the user between rooms, locking safety casters, pressure cushioning to reduce sores during long sitting, and wipeable medical-grade fabric. A regular recliner is a home furniture piece without these features.
How does the recline work?
The chair has 3 manual recline positions: upright (sit), partial recline (rest), and full recline (nap). Adjustments are made manually by the caregiver using a simple lever. No power required.
Can I pick it up myself?
The chair is large and heavy, so we strongly recommend delivery. If you have a large van or truck and want to pick up, call us first to confirm fit.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes. Rentals auto-renew at the original period rate. Call us anytime to confirm or change your rental period.
Rental Policies
Rental Terms & Conditions
- Payment
- Full rental period plus delivery fee paid upfront. We accept all major credit cards. HSA and FSA cards cannot be used directly, but we can provide an itemized receipt for reimbursement.
- Renewal
- Rentals auto-renew at the original period rate (weekly or monthly). Contact us to change or end your rental.
- Cancellation
- 15% cancellation fee applies after the order has been processed. Cancellations on the day of delivery are not refundable.
- Cleaning & Returns
- $35 cleaning fee if the chair is returned excessively dirty. Please call at least 72 hours before pickup to schedule the return.
- Delivery Service Area
- $45 base delivery within 15 miles of our Plano store. $20 added per additional 10 miles. Pickup at end of rental uses the same rate. Delivery is recommended due to size.
- Damage
- Customer is responsible for damage beyond normal wear. Repairs or replacements are quoted at parts and labor cost.
