FAQs

Everyday rental questions.

How do I place a rental order?

Call Hieline Medical at 214-227-2222 to check availability and place your order. Our team helps you choose the right equipment and review delivery or pickup details.

What rental terms are available?

We offer weekly and monthly rental options for most items. Daily rentals are not available. Rental terms can vary by product, so call to confirm pricing and availability.

Can I pick up the equipment myself?

Many smaller items can be picked up at our Plano store during business hours. Larger items like hospital beds, power wheelchairs, and lift chairs require delivery and setup and are not eligible for customer pickup.

Do you deliver?

Yes. We deliver throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for an additional fee. Delivery within 15 miles of Plano is $45, with $20 added per additional 10 miles. Pickup at the end of your rental is charged at the same rate. Please give 72 hours notice for return pickups.

Do you offer same-day delivery?

If availability allows, we may offer rush or same-day delivery for an additional $75. Call us early in the day for the best chance of same-day service.

When does the rental clock stop?

Rental charges continue until the equipment is returned to our store or picked up by our team if pickup service was arranged.

Do you bill insurance?

No. Hieline Medical is a self-pay provider for rentals and retail purchases. We do not bill Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance plans. We can provide itemized receipts for personal reimbursement claims.

Can I use Medicare for a rental?

Hieline Medical does not bill Medicare for rentals. Customers who want Medicare coverage may need to work with a Medicare-participating supplier and follow Medicare’s approval process. Many customers choose self-pay because it is faster.

Why might self-pay be a better choice?

Self-pay is often the fastest option when equipment is needed quickly for recovery at home, hospital discharge, or short-term care. There is no waiting for insurance approval or claim processing.

Do I need a prescription?

For most equipment, no. The one exception is the oxygen concentrator. It is a regulated item, so it requires a prescription. If you plan to pursue insurance reimbursement separately, your insurer may require documentation from your physician.

Can I extend my rental?

Yes. Rentals can be extended at the original period rate. Call us anytime during your rental to confirm or change the rental period.

What if I need to cancel?

A 15% cancellation fee applies after the order has been processed. Cancellations on the day of delivery are not refundable. Calling before order processing avoids the fee entirely.
